We have significant commercial and industrial real estate transaction experience from the buyer, seller, investor, landlord, tenant, contractor, and broker perspectives. We have coordinated and closed multi-million dollar transactions in the commercial, industrial, retail, office, condominium and residential markets in both Michigan and Illinois. We have represented seller and buyer positions on high profile projects, as well as on numerous residential projects including new construction, sales by owner, and realtor sales transactions. We have familiarity with the complex financing and title work processes and can efficiently address and monitor such issues for each client. We routinely draft, review and negotiate purchase agreements, financing documents, leases, mortgages, easements, licenses, land contracts, title insurance policies, closing statements and real estate holding company formation documents.  As a past appointed City of Grand Rapids Zoning Board Commissioner, Don is also fluent in land use, zoning and planning commission presentations on variances, permits, and formal authorization requests. We also have experience in appealing and challenging real estate property tax assessments, appearing before tax tribunals, and related matters.
